I took this picture of the Evergreen Motel in Plainville, Kansas when I was a reporter/photographer for KAKE-TV in Wichita, KS. After a little online searching, it seems the motel is still open, but this wonderful sign has been replaced. I hope they still have TV, telephones and the rooms are still cooled by refrigeration. Plainville is north of Hays America on US 183 in Rooks County, KS.
